Founded by two friends, Stephanie Acedillo and Kevin Candido, Hella Sarap is a platform for creative expression, featuring unique recipes for the casual cook and playful art inspired by pop culture, all with the goal of fostering community and inspiring creativity!

About Us
Stephanie Acedillo
is the illustrator and designer behind Hella Sarap. She loves to use both watercolor and digital as mediums to create. Her inspiration stems from Japanese culture including anime and food (Sailor Moon, Samurai Champloo), her own Asian-American heritage, and the city she grew up in: San Francisco. She hopes her illustrations will inspire you to cook!

KEVIN CANDIDO
is the homecook that comes up with all the delicious recipes and content for Hella Sarap. He loves nonstick pans and spatulas to cook his food. His inspiration stems from Japanese culture, nostalgic Filipino cuisine, and his love for Asian pop culture like XG, anime, kdramas, and YouTube travel/cooking videos. He hopes these creative recipes bring you a sense of nostalgia and comfort!
